Michael G. Hagerty

Mike Hagerty was a truly legendary alum of The Second City.

While he worked on the Mainstage for the 1980s-era revues Also Available in Paperback-A Retrospective, Orwell That Ends Well, and True Midwest, or No, But I Saw the Movie, he was never far from the theatre. Mike's presence loomed large at every anniversary event or in his regular visits back to his hometown. Mike most recently starred as "Ed Miller" in the critically acclaimed HBO Max series Somebody, Somewhere with Bridget Everett. His extensive television credits include Friends, Seinfeld, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Shameless. His film credits include Wayne’s World, Inspector Gadget, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and “Overboard.” Mike passed away on May 5, 2022. We'll miss his laugh and that iconic Chicago accent.
