Janna Sobel

Improv, Kids & Teen

Janna Sobel is a writer and performer. She teaches Improvisation, Storytelling, Improv for Anxiety, Humor Doesn’t Retire, and Kids & Teen classes at The Second City Training Center. She also teaches or has taught at Stage 773, The University of Chicago Lab School, The Improv Retreat, The Old Town School of Folk Music, Pegasus Theatre and the The Poetry Center of Chicago. As a performer Janna has had the pleasure of working with Chicago Dramatists, Chicago Solo Theater, 16th Street Theater, WNEP Productions, Courier 12 Collective, The Improv Playhouse, and the iO Harold team Phoenix Lights. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and iO Training Center, and a company member of Radiostar Improv. Janna hosts the beloved Chicago storytelling event herechicago.org.
