COVID-19 Second City Hollywood Updates

March 14, 2020 at 5:50PM: As we continue to prepare for the option of virtual training, we wanted to decrease potential scheduling confusion with faculty, staff and you. In order to streamline this process, Mon-Fri classes will also be postponed for a week.

Classes will resume on March 21st so everyone can be on the same schedule as we plan for this term and beyond.

Please continue to monitor your email and texts for updates. Stay safe and we will see you soon, virtually or in-person!

March 13. 2020 at 6:02PM: Due to news events today, we have decided to postpone weekend classes as we make final preparations to move classes to an optional virtual setting. If you were scheduled to have class this weekend, you will make up this weekend’s class at a later date.

Please understand we are working to ensure the safety of our students, as well as, working to still provide you with a community you look forward to seeing week after week.

Continue to monitor for any updates with us. You will get information regarding options to visit your class in person next week - or join us virtually!

March 12, 2020 at 5:27PM: As concerns over COVID-19 continue to increase, we wanted to take the necessary precautions to keep our community safe. As of now we are canceling all Second City Hollywood shows, including student shows, in the Studio Theater and Brick Box until further notice. If you bought tickets for shows between 3/12-3/18 we will be contacting you to receive a refund or transfer. Classes will still be in session and we are currently discussing virtual options regarding the training center.

There have been no known cases of COVID-19 at the theater or training center, we are just taking necessary precautions to mitigate the risk of spreading the virus.

We understand that this can change minute to minute so we want to be able to “yes, and” any situation. We will take the week to further evaluate and will update you with any conclusions.
