Jack C. Newell is an award-winning filmmaker and public artist whose work has been experienced worldwide.
His feature length documentary, 42 Grams, about the restaurant of the same name is available now online. He is in post-production on the documentary series How to Build a School in Haiti that focuses on the construction of a single elementary school in rural Haiti to try to understand how we can win the fight against global poverty. His previous narrative feature films are Hope Springs Eternal, Open Tables and Close Quarters.
Jack is the Program Director of The Harold Ramis Film School at The Second City, the co-creator of Destroy Your Art, and the co-creator of the public art project The Wabash Lights.
