Announcing Empower-Prov: Creating The Next Generation Of Confident, Collaborative Young Women

We're over the moon to announce that registration is now open for Empower-Prov, our first Training Centre class developed exclusively for young women in grades 9-12.

The focus of the groundbreaking 7-week workshop is empowerment, reinforcing the mantra “you are enough” at a community level. The Second City stands firmly in its support of helping women find their voices in a powerful way, telling their stories authentically and inspiring others to do the same. In the spirit of that mission, participants will learn practical skills to build confidence and express their unique point of view through the comedic lens of improvisation.

The launch of Empower-Prov in Toronto continues The Second City’s efforts to put the limitless applications of improvisational comedy to good use, both on and off the stage, while fostering a pool of diverse talent in the city’s ever-growing comedy scene.

The class is open to teens currently enrolled in Grade 9-12 who identify as female. No previous experience necessary.
