The Second City’s deep ties with Saturday Night Live go all the way back to the show’s 1975 premiere and original cast members Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. Over the last 43 seasons, a myriad of Second City alums have also made their way to SNL, and now, thanks to SNL: The Experience at Chicago’s Museum of Broadcast Communications, you can feel like you’re actually inside Studio 8H, too.

The 12,000-square-foot multimedia experience takes you through the six days of putting the show together, from Monday meetings right through Saturday night. Along the way, you’ll get up close and personal with TV history, including several original props, costumes and sets with a uniquely Chicago connection: John Belushi’s Killer Bees costume, Gilda Radner’s shoes, and even your “host” for the experience’s culmination, Tina Fey.
